Coconut Water, Best Rehydration Drink?

So, the sports drink market is a multiple billion dollar business everything from energy drinks to rehydration drinks, from Gatorade to Red Bull. They are all looking to get your money, but a drink that's not well know is coconut water.  I'm sure the reason you have not heard about it is because it has to compete with the likes of Coke and Pepsi Co and their multimillion dollar marketing campaign. If you do some easy research you can find a great natural drink as opposed the aforementioned.  When looking for an effective rehydration/energy drink I like to use the "kiss" term, keep it simple stupid. The best rehydration drink should basically be composed of the same thing you lose when you exercise, which is sweat, I know gross, but hear me out. Sweat is composed of water, sodium (0.9 gram/liter), potassium (0.2 g/l), calcium (0.015 g/l), magnesium (0.0013 g/l), all of which need to be replace to rehydrate. Coconut water contains all of these in a high ratio, is naturally produced, with natural sugar as opposed to high fructose corn syrup, without harmful dyes, and with twice the recommeded dose of vitamin c (the importance of vitamin c can be referred to my past article).  Coconut water has 15 percent of the daily recommended dose for potassium as opposed to Gatorade's one percent.  Of course, the most important thing with coconut water is it taste great!
